Join the Initial Discussion Regarding the Demonstration Project
The City Council, sitting as the Redevelopment Authority, is hosting a hybrid meeting to have an initial discussion regarding the Demonstration Project plan. We encourage you to join and participate in the meeting.
No votes will be taken and no decisions will be made at this meeting. This is intended to be an initial discussion among the City Council (sitting as the Redevelopment Authority). An agenda will be released closer to the meeting.
The topic of the meeting will be about the drafted Demonstration Project plan, which tested the feasibility of development in Watertown Square, specifically in the area behind the Square's CVS, and between Church Street, Summer Street, and Mount Auburn Street. The test fitted options for the area include a centralized parking garage, housing, and green space. We encourage you to learn more by visiting the virtual open house about the project and watching the presentation from the City Manager done back in April.
